ABOUT DESIGN
Immigration documents fill the river underneath, everything builds on this immigrant's generation. I cut the Brooklyn bridge like a doctor dissect a cell, to show the structure of the society, the immigrants, and this family. This is the view from the bridge, a cutting piece of a normal immigrant family from American history. "If I stay there they will never grow up. They eat the sunshine."
